Who are HT Youth?

HT Youth is home for anyone in school years 7-13 (ages 11-18). HT Youth is all about having fun together, being a family where everyone can belong, discover faith in Jesus and exploring what the fruit of it all could be in everyday life. We meet on Sundays during the 5:30 service and run lots of events like worship nights, socials, courses, and 1-1 meetups too!

Sundays

Sundays are the main event of HT Youth!

We meet together each week during school term time for games, teaching, worship and time to chat in small groups. See below for what an average Sunday looks like!

5:30 PM — Youth Begins!
We meet at the back of church and join in with the first few songs of worship at the start of the 5:30 service.

5:45 PM — Head Upstairs for Games
Older Youth then head to the Henry Martyn Hall while Younger Youth take over the upstairs offices. We spend around 15 minutes playing a game to begin with.

6 PM — Teaching & Small Groups
Sessions look different from week to week, but almost always start with a passage from the Bible. Often a member of the team will give a short talk on the passage and then we’ll split into smaller groups to discuss what we’ve heard and spend some time chatting and praying with each other.

7 PM — Youth Finishes
Youth finishes at 7 PM and we head down to the Main Church to join the rest of the church family chatting over tea, coffee, squash and biscuits.

The best way to get involved with HT Youth is to come along on a Sunday evening! Expect to be greeted by the brilliant team of youth leaders and get introduced to some of the other young people who call HT home.
If you are new to HT Youth and would like to come regularly, there is a permission form here. Filling in this form ensures the best care of you and will keep you up-to-date with upcoming events.

Highlights

ENCOUNTER Nights

Every term, we host a worship night in the Main Church of HT open to all 11-18 year olds in Cambridge. The evening always includes prayer, worship, an amazing talk, games, snacks and – most importantly – space to pray and meet with the Holy Spirit. 🕊️

Summer Festival

Every summer, HT Youth go away for five days to a Christian youth festival. These days are full of quality time together, lots of fun, and some brilliant time with God through meetings, worship, and seminars. It is definitely one of the best weeks of the year! 🙌🏽

Weekend Away

This is the highlight of the HT Youth calendar! Each year, the Youth are invited to spend the weekend outside of Cambridge, with lots of time to build friendships, relax, spend quality time with God, and have loads of fun! 🎉

Younger Youth Bowling

Meet the Team
