Hello parents & grandparents!

We need your help!

In our experience having your first baby is an enormous adjustment in pretty much every area of life, and most people feel pretty unprepared for it. In a small way we’d like to change that. We’d love to harness the enourmous blessing of a church family - to catch the wisdom and experience of parents like you - to help folks who are about to start the journey.

We’re developing some new material for folks expecting their first baby. Think of it like marriage prep, but prep for the first year of being a parent. New baby prep!

There would probably be four sessions, hosted by a wise and encouraging couple with older kids, for two or three couples expecting about the same time.

It would cover topics like:

  • New family dynamics

  • Navigating new patterns of sleep (and lack thereof!)

  • Adjusting well in your relationship

  • Investing in friendships & church community

  • Common worries and unknowns

Things are still in progress, and at this point we’d really value input from current parents in the HT family. This short survey will pick your brains for things like what you found difficult, what you wish someone had told you, and what you wish you could pass on to others just starting out as parents.

So whether you’re still in the thick of the early years, or whether you can give the long view and offer advice from the land of parenting school aged kids, teenagers, or even grown up - we want your thoughts! Mum, dad, grandparent - take the survey!
