HT Youth is a place where young people Come to Christ, Learn to Love and Love to Learn.
To that end we love to see young people come to faith in Jesus Christ; to grow holistic, self-led and whole-hearted Christian disciples; and, to expose the young people to every area of Christian discipleship. We want HT youth to be a safe home where anyone can make friends, learn community and experience genuine Christian fellowship; and where support is given through every stage of the teenage years.
Coffees/Sport with your leaders
The Youth Leaders would love to meet with you at any point during the year to talk about what is going on in your life and in your walk with Jesus. Alternatively, you may just want to hang out, and they are definitely up for that! If you would like to meet up with your Youth Leaders at any time during the year then get in touch with them and they would love to take you to kick around a ball/have a hot chocolate or ice-cream. Just make sure you get your parents to sign and return the general 'coffees permission form' available here first!
If you would like to meet with someone more regularly than once a term - to be challenged in your faith, encouraged with whatever may be going on in your life, and just generally supported, why not ask for a coach?! We all understand the idea of practising at sports or music, so why not have someone mentor us through exercising our faith? Together you can grow in discerning God's voice and will for your life and dig down deeper into your understanding of the Bible. We have a pool of trained and DBS-checked coaches ready to match you up with and who would love to walk alongside you and pray for you. While taking part is simply a matter of asking anytime, we will need to write home first to gain permission for you to take part and introduce you to your new coach. If you want more information, or to request a coach, contact Steve Conacher
Throughout the year we try to engage with our community and learn what it means to put our faith into action. In the past that has meant taking part in the Beyond Belief Mission Week; running a free bike repair stall; prayer on the streets; and, in summer partnering with a fantastic charity in Cambridge called the Besom to do a bit of much appreciated manual labour to bless people in the community who are in need of help. Keep an eye out in the term cards and youth email for when the next one of these will take place.
Baptisms & Confirmations
From time to time we offer the chance to be baptised and/or confirmed to the youth as a way of publicly declaring their faith. Please contact HT if you would like more information about baptism or confirmation.
Every year the youth take a weekend to go away together for some serious fun and some quality time with the Lord. Over the weekend we have main meetings that include worship, talks and prayer, as well as small group times to discuss our own faith journeys together. It's not all full-on, with plenty of time to blow off steam over games in the dark, bonfires, sports, quality food, go-karting, inflatable bungee-runs, creative crafts, walks in the country and late night games of mafia. You'll be guaranteed to come away having made new friends and being refreshed in your own faith in Jesus Christ.
HT Youth at Soul Survivor
Every year HT Youth go away for five days in the summer to Soul Survivor, a Christian youth festival in Somerset. Over these days we camp together with the primary aim of seeking more of God along with the thousands of others doing so through the seminar streams and two main meetings of worship, talks and prayer ministry daily. There are also plenty of activities on offer with cafes, sport parks, live music, paint fights, dance parties and more. It’s a fantastic week!
Child Protection Policy

All of our leaders are subject to DBS checks and in house training, with events being run under their supervision and care. If you would like to learn more about HT's commitment to Child Protection, see our Safeguarding page for more details, where you can download and read our Child Protection and Safeguarding Policies, and Best Practice Guidelines.
