A Fountain of Praise: Holy Trinity  has a solid history of being a worshiping church.  In 1189 a stone tower was erected which housed the bells (specifically the Sanctus bell), which for the next four hundred years rang to call people to worship.

While the bells are no longer in use, the call to worship remains. One of our key values is to be a place where "the worship flows": flows up to Heaven, into our hearts, and even out into the streets.  Our vision for our worship is that HT will be a "fountain of praise" where the love and joy of God flows out into our people and our town.

Integrity: In all of our musical worship, we want to remember what God really cares about- our hearts.  1 Samuel 16 v.7 says: "The LORD does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.”  Worship is the great leveller, where we all come equal to God's throne and become able to touch His heart in the greatest privilege in the universe.

Therefore, it’s our desire that times of worship at HT would allow every member of the congregations to live out holy lives of worship; that a community of worshippers would be raised up in freedom, passion, excitement, integrity, authenticity, honesty and sincerity, both in the public and the private place. We hope that whatever tradtion you come from, you can join us in this shared vision of keeping themain thing the main thing.

Relationship: John Wimber once said-
"Worship has a two-fold aspect: communication with God through the basic means of singing and praying, and communication from God through teaching and preaching the word, prophecy, exhortation, etc...We lift Him up and exalt Him, and as a result are drawn into His presence where He speaks to us.”

We long that every time we come together we would have an excitement about  seeing God move in and respond to our worship, and that we would never go through the motions of worship but instead grow more and more in belief that a our God can change everything in an instant. As we lift Him up, we can be drawn into His presence and renewed as He speaks, heals, restores, reveals and saves.

Hunger- That said, worship is not a means to an end- glorifying God is the end in itself.  We were all created to "glorify God and enjoy him forever"- and a primary component of our aim of "integrity" is to be hearts that are hungry to worship.  Whether band or organ, experienced worship leader or first-timer from the youth group, or songs one likes or doesn't like, we want to put that aside as a body and worship God in hunger together.  Every Sunday we make a choice as a congregation to remember the honour of what we're doing and the infinite value of the presence of God.

If you want to find out any more about the worship ministry here at Holy Trinity, or want to be involved in serving either on the sound desk or visuals team or in the bands, then please don’t hesitate to get in contact with us.  We're always looking for all ages, standards and traditions to be on the team.
