Student Ministry at HT
The aim of our student ministry at HT is to equip and support students as they get to know God better, live for Him and introduce their friends to Him. We do this through Bible teaching, worship, prayer, support from the student team and hosting fun events where friendships can be made and developed.
University is an amazing time to discover who you are, to give your whole life to Jesus, to spend time getting to know God, worshipping Him, making Christian friends for life, growing in the gifts God has given you and receiving all he has for you. It is also an amazing time to witness to other students.
About 250 students are part of HT at the moment but this is growing every year. Do get in touch with the student team if you want to know more or get involved.

How we look after our Students
We have a dedicated Student Team who are on hand whenever you need them. If you have any questions or just want a chat over a cup of coffee please use the links on the Student Team page.
As well as our Student Team, the Risky Living Groups provide much of our pastoral care. We have a wonderful group of Risky Living Leaders - older students who lead small group time on a Tuesday evening and who are there to support you.
If you would like to read the Bible and pray 1-1 with someone just let the student team know and we would be happy to arrange it.
We send out weekly e-mails with updates on everything going on. If you would like to receive these please fill in a welcome card (found here or in church) or let us know.
Getting Involved
Risky Living is our main student meeting of the week that happens every Tuesday night during University Term Time - we'd love to see you there! Please follow the Risky Living link to find out more about what we do and the topics we're studying this term.
Most students attend the 11:30am or 6:30pm Sunday Service. Every Sunday after the 11:30am service we offer a Student Lunch in the Henry Martyn Hall (next to church). We also go out for dinner together after the evening service about once a term, and most weeks there is a trip to the pub.
We run lots of social events during the year and most important of these are our Student Houseparties held during the beginning of December - a great way to get really stuck into life and the student work at HT. We also organise teams to do social action projects several times a term.
