Safeguarding Policies

As part of HT's commitment to the welfare of everyone who comes to the Church, the following policies and guidelines have been written to inform those who work with children and vulnerable adults, and ensure that HT is following legislation, statutory guidance, and recognised good practice.

The Safeguarding Policy is a general policy that provides procedures for promoting safeguarding, preventing abuse and protecting children, adults at risk, and staff. It includes clear procedures for taking appropriate action when safeguarding concerns are raised involving children and adults within the Church, or those who attend Church activities and events.

The Child Protection Policy is a continuation of the Safeguarding Policy, and applies the general safeguarding procedures to the specific case of caring for children and young people.

In addition to the Policies, Safeguarding Guidelines and Child Protection Good Practice Guidelines have been developed to help put the policies into practice. The Guidelines also contain useful information about who to contact with a question or concern.

A form for logging a concern about a child or adult is also available for download.
